Canada rewards international students who study in Canada by turning their diplomas into permanent resident status and possible Canadian immigration.
Student Direct Stream is one of the fastest Canadian immigration pathways.
The Student Direct Stream (SDS) is an expedited study permit processing program for those applying to study in Canada at a post-secondary designated learning institution (DLI). You lived outside Canada when applying for the SDS; It would be best to have proof that you have paid for your first year of study.
The added benefit is that you can bring your spouse or partner and children with you, and you may get faster processing on a Visitor visa, work permit and study permit. This means you complete both applications at the same time.
One of the most critical aspects of this stream makes the process so fast: you need a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) of $20,635 Canadian. A GIC is a Canadian investment that offers a guaranteed rate of return over a fixed period, most commonly issued by trust companies or banks.
The Bank will then release an initial lump sum once you arrive in Canada and the remainder of the funds in monthly or bi-monthly installments over 10 to 12 months. Think of it as a monthly budget. You can get a GIC from a financial institution listed on the Canadian Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC).
The SDS is available to legal residents in the following countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Brazil, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, India, Morocco, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Senegal, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Vietnam.
An English language score of CLB 6 (IELTS) and CLB 7 (CELPIP), police certificates and medical exams are required. The Student Direct Stream is one of the fastest Canadian immigration processes if you meet the minimum requirements.

Good news. You can work in Canada during and after your studies. Canada understands that money plays an integral part while studying, not to mention the social and career benefits working provides. However, you can only work part-time while you're looking full-time.
Because Canadian immigration understands the value of time and the importance of having an education, it included in its study permit the right to work, but only part-time during your studies.
This means that you can work on or off campus for up to 20 hours a week while classes are in session. Also, you can work full-time during breaks and holidays, and many students find this helpful.
And, although we may be talking about your plans in the long run, you should know that you may work in Canada for up to three years after your study in Canada and graduate, but only if you apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
Having experienced immigration representation can often make the difference between a successful and unsuccessful application.

The Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) Program allows students who have graduated from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution (not private institutions) to gain valuable work experience in Canada.

Students can obtain a PGWP if they have continuously studied full-time in Canada at a Designated Learning Institute (DLI) for more than eight months with a valid study permit and have graduated with a diploma or degree. You must apply within 180 days of completion of your program.
Depending on the length of your program, your PGWP may be valid for up to the same length as your study in Canada program and issued for up to three years.
The PGWP is a great way to gain valuable Canadian work experience and may lead to permanent residence for Canadian immigration.
After graduating: If you recently completed an education program in Canada and have worked in Canada for at least one year, you may qualify for Permanent Residency.
